Our dedicated contact lens clinic is focused on providing both optimal vision and comfort, whether you need lenses for nearsightedness, astigmatism, presbyopia, or keratoconus. We offer a comprehensive selection of brands and lens types, carefully fitted by our specialists to match your prescription, eye shape, and lifestyle. Experience a personalized, luxury approach to contact lenses, tailored to meet your individual vision requirements. Our two most common types of contact lenses include:

Soft Contact Lenses

Soft contact lenses are the most commonly prescribed due to the fact that they are extremely comfortable. Soft contacts are now available in multifocal, for astigmatism and even for overnight wear. You can choose from daily wear, extended wear, disposable & even color changing.

Hard Contact Lenses

Sometimes called rigid or gas-permeable lenses, hard contact lenses offer sharper vision and can correct severe nearsightedness, astigmatism, or presbyopia. They are designed for extended durability and can often be worn for up to a year before replacement is needed, providing long-lasting vision correction.

Our Specialty Contact Lenses

At Peninsula Optometric Center, we go beyond standard optometry by offering a range of specialty contact lenses designed to address complex corneal conditions. Unlike most optometrists, we cater to thousands of individuals who experience vision loss due to conditions such as keratoconus, corneal scarring, post-corneal transplant, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, severe dry eye (from Sjögren’s syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, and other inflammatory disorders), and more. Through cutting-edge technology and advanced lens design, we make clear, comfortable vision a reality with hybrid and scleral contact lenses.

Scleral lenses, a type of rigid gas-permeable lens with an extra-wide diameter, offer a revolutionary approach to vision correction. Unlike traditional contacts, these lenses vault over the entire cornea, creating a protective gap and resting on the sclera (the white part of your eye). Their innovative design ensures maximum comfort, healthier eyes, and exceptional visual clarity, making them the preferred choice for ultimate comfort and vision in patients with complex needs.
